It perched on several structures low and close to the river. Description of the Bird

I was the finder of the bird. No calls were given. The bird was quite active, only perching briefly between trips flying out and catching insects and then perchign again. It perched on several different structures that were all low and at the river edge. All were within 50' of the bridge.

Similar Species Discussion

Eastern Phoebe but the black head, throat and vest indicated Black Phoebe.

Resources Used

We'd just seen and ID'd the Black Phoebe on the Del Norte Riverwalk two days earlier, so I used that experience and the Sibley app on my iPhone.

Previous Experience

I have seen a Black Phoebe a couple times before in Pueblo, and the one I saw two days prior on the Del Norte Riverwalk.
