Description of the Bird

Observed 1 male Rose-breasted Grosbeak in the aspen tree next to our patio.  We watched it for approimately 20 minutes.  The wind was blowing fiercely but it stayed on the branch.  We eventually went inside the house and do not know how much longer it stayed.  We did not hear it singing but it was very loud outside due to the wind and aspen tree blowing.

Previous Experience

No experience with this species.  We observed it for 20 minutes and took pictures as it is very beautiful and we had never seen it before.  I used AI on my phone to identify the species.  As we later researched we discovered that it is rare in Colorado so decided to report it.
