Description of the Bird
Only one bird. Small warbler, flitting and jumping around in dense brush of willow, river birch and shrubs. Bright yellow cap with black triangle under eyes, highly visible chestnut sides. Slight yellowish back with streaks of black. Was foraging for insects, dropping to the ground once and awhile. Made no sounds. An unknown man pointed it out to me but I was able to identify it right away.
Similar Species Discussion
None, Species was very distinct at close range. Chestnut sides and yellow cap were a dead giveaway.
Previous Experience
I have never seen this species before but I have seen photos of it in the past. I am familiar with warblers native to my area.
